Sorry. It seemed the black ones were most likely to have enough meat to oversize!
It's a Texas thing. Bigger!
Likely why I have trouble stuffing 24's into 20 handles!

Ahh ha, bigger in Texas!! Yeah I think the taller one with the black top especially could be a candidate for oversizing and I think it has a good base to match the bigger size. The shorter black one has a smallish base and would probably look top heavy with a 24mm knot. Not that top heavy is always a bad thing

Indeed, you have added weight to the handle. Makes a big difference as going a bit bigger.
I have a 28 mm brush and consider it too big, no 30mm's here.
A 20 mm in a good knot is great, but 24 seems to be my personal sweet spot.
Each to his own, only a brush!

A well worn Million razor FBU, but nicely and evenly used. Figured I'd try to make it shave again. I've been working on it till late and then snapped a few photos in the shadow, so to show it without reflections.
As the time passes, so we learn.

Knots went in this morning. I ended up having to use the dremel drum sander just a little more around the inside edge of the holes to get the hard bulge in the badger hair just above the knot to go through. They all set in at 48 or 49 mm of loft so pretty much what I was shootin' for. This was my first time de-knotting and re-knotting old brushes, it's good fun!

Rez, I haven't gotten them wet yet but I'm expecting them to smell a little like a petting zoo when I do. No smell dry as they are now.
Thanks, harrywally, good to hear I'm on the right track with these! Looking forward to using them. I can see why you are so into working on brushes, it's pretty fun. Thanks for the tips/advice that got me started on these.Last edited by xiaotuzi; 02-26-2017 at 03:12 PM.
