Thanks, Guys! It's not too hard. A magnifier visor is a must for me.
I dig the water-based as it is light and faint. Mostly dabbing and wait a bit, wipe with the finger. Cannot get a brown to work. A good scrubbing with a toothbrush and Ajax makes the paint stick better. Should have done that...too late now!
As-done, looks old in a way. I will tape off this side, lightly mist with clear from afar so shine is at a minimum and do the other side another day.

I don't do mush without my dork lord visor either. There was a time when it would have made little difference. That time is not now. Readers are also a must.

The first side I made broke as I was taking it off the engravers block. Oops.
Apparently I need to make a second set with copper liners.
I would have liked to have gone sans collars but I was too chicken.
Here is the scrimshaw scales on my Guillermo Hope 14.

Noticed my wife passed out while putting one of my girls to bed, so naturally I rush to the basement. I'm so bad, I have other things I need to be working on but this one has me rigid. Basing this on a certain Texas brush that's in my head. Took pictures of it when it was here, but google images has that in a rain cloud, or snow cloud maybe and it's no where in my reach. So, to my head files I go.

Yup. Love the way Scrimshaw looks too. Would be cool too, if you could carve that pattern Shaun. Like a 3D effect. I'm sure that would have a very high complication rating on it tho.
