Now, here's the results on the red devil make over for Toms Ran Tan.

Trying to show the depth of inlay seating. Really happy with the consistency I can achieve now.

If I didn't mention it before, that smiling RanTanKaRus blade was a gift from Mike, Entropy 1049!

Seems it takes another Mike to help do it justice!

Mike, are those scales original? Very nice match up regardless.

I can answer that, Mike! The scales are from a Cattaraugus, inlay from a Noonan!

No their from a gorgeous Torry blade I recently bought. But after a light cleaning, I realized two cracks in the blade, too deep to remove without destruction. So off came the scales...!!

They were originally a single pin/glued, built in wedge type. But I wiggled a SE blade in between the scales, and popped them apart, sanded off the built in wedge, drilled the wedge pin hole, and made a lead wedge for it instead.
    Hate them glued type scales...!!!
    Makes them look cheap IMO

Picked up a few things, today I found a few items at a indoor flea market.....a 11/16 Crown&Sword, and a cool DE travel razor. So I cleaned them up today as well, adding a fourth straight to the hone pile.
