    Looking good, MikeB52!

Semi-slow rainy day here, so I pulled the towel off the pile this morning and this busted front Emperor scale was staring at me. No fixing it, so I wondered if I should just chuck it.

    Then....I got an ideer!
I cut out the middle section and rounded it off, cleaned and polished it up, drilled out the 2 circles on either side.
Applied some silver and gold RubnBuff here and there and fashioned a couple of short nails from some of Baburs pre-peened pins, one brass, one stainless. (Stay with me here!)

Ran home at lunch and retrieved my pair of silver and gold Henckels Emperors.......

A pin-vise, 1/16 bit, some gorilla gel glue and a couple of light plastic clamps later..
    AHA!

Oh well! At least I used it for something!

I thought you were making an inlay on another scale half.

All you guys are doing fine work. Lovely.

My current project is jetting in a well
    I have a 2" pipe down about 28 feet.
I want to go down to bed rock.

    Thanks, Mike!
The RubnBuff starts out a bit gaudy, but the more you rub it, the better it gets as the details keep coming out and the tones get subdued after a while. Was a fun and cheap thing, in retrospect!

We got tons of those here in Ohio.
The biggest ones (10-12' long) are found around lake Erie, and its islands. Its always fun when you find one in a boat your working on.
