Did you treat the horn to get the scales transparent?

thank you sir. i scan the razor and scale both, then combine to make sure everything lines up right where i want it. then just print the scale image alone - the razor.

i love horn but its a lot of work to thin and straighten just to get started.
acrylic is much easier since it already comes 1/8 thick.

If you look around you can find the horn slabs the correct thickness and it reduces a little bit of the work.

Had my Dad pick up some more goat's milk soap from the Amish. I like using it to wash my face as it seems to help prevent me from breaking out. May try shaving with a bar and see how it works for that.

As requested Tom, here’s the saw. And a few other note worthy nuggets I’ve unpacked so far.

The wife’s fury was formidable gents, but she is calming down as I show her the girly crafts she can try hidden in the totes. Compact kits, and pill boxes, and some forky things for hem and husband eye removal.

Nice stuff. Burl knot? If so, nice score!

Are you SURE she is calming down? Lol
Hopefully there is some stuff she can enjoy.

    Interesting saw
How thick is that blade? How high can it cut?

A lovely little saw. I found mine at a junk shop and bought a "sled" for it and extra blades.

Yes it’s a burl knot, and a biggun too. saw came with an extra diamond coated blade in the little baggy to the right. Thanks for the link to order more Richard. Will be building a little sled for this saw as well.
The jaw bones will make for interesting pen designs once turned round.
More rain tomorrow so more indoor games up north..
