    That Benz is something else!

On the bullets....Let's not go to extremes!

Guys who have reloaded a long time usually have something of size they will never use again.
    THAT's where you find them!

Tom, I started playing with molten aluminum when I was a teenager. I melted diesel pistons in a make shift furnace and poured the melted aluminum through a mesh to get the iron struts and piston rings separated. The aluminum was then poured into castings for lathe stock to make pulleys etc. Later on in life I learned a lot from an old man on how to pour molten bronze. He taught me how to pound up sand molds and use carved styrofoam like the lost wax process I told Roy. One time I watched a jeweler pour molten gold to make custom wedding rings and he used the lost wax process too. It's kind of a fascinating hobby.

Cool! this reminds of the ones who melt beer-cans and pour it into an anthill.
    Then, dig it up.
That is what I would like to do!

    Agreed, it is fascinating!

Anyhoo, my scales look as a porcupine.
Some serious detail-sanding will follow after a few days.

Yeah, but you can learn how to cast bell metal and make bells instead of wind chimes.

    Wind chimes are better, IMO.
I have a beer-can bell in my back yard with my name cast into it.
My kids drove me crazy with it!
