Yep. I Go to the DMT with mine on occasion. Edge is destroyed!
Except my 'Sunday Knives' which are carried to clean fingernails and such!

Depends on which one I have at the time. There's no rhyme or reason to what knife I choose to abuse and which ones I take better care of, but some I keep a pretty wicked edge on and I tend to be more cautious with them. I was thinking it would be interesting to see what happens when you hit a knife edge with .5 micron diamond paste.

Others are more of a working knife and there's no point going beyond 1K on those because they get wrecked.

I like your screwdriver and strop.

Looks like a lot of CROX on the strop.

Nice looking wood. It looks very different than what I call Iron Wood in MN.

Of course if I remember right we are on the northern range of it and it would be amazing to get a piece that large.

This should be desert ironwood. The tree is in a friend's back yard and sadly died a few years ago. they gave me what they cut off and the rest of the tree is in the back yard. Where just outside of waco tx. To cut up the samples sent sparks out the back of the saw!!!

Wow that is a very nice stand!
    Some real craftsmanship there.
Good luck, I hope you do find a retailer to carry them
