But speeding through while the wife is at Zumba is just to fast
Just lucky with this one Jonathan. Slight surface rust around the pivot, tarnish on the rest. It was an easy cleanup. Honing was also lucky, one of those that took an edge quite easy. I've had a good streak of those lately.... fingers crossed that it continues.... at least for a little while.

Thanks Andrew. She took a bit to bring around. Half of it was as stiff as cardboard, when I got it.

Whatcha do to it to get I right again? I had an old strop that was pretty hard, or "glazed." I took 150 grit sandpaper to remove that hard glazing and it worked very well.

Saddle soap three different times, applications of water and neets foot oil. (A little at a time). Apply...wait a few days, apply...wait a few days. I would also rub it with a smooth glass, and warm it up from the friction of the glass. This thing sucked up every bit of oil and water that I fed it, and will probably take a bit more. But its flexable again, and at a useable state for now. With use, it'll only get better.

There are some great articles in the forum on this, I just used some ideas from them. But moisture and oil + time, were the ones I kept seeing the most.
