Thanks, we didn't get anything out of that cell of the storm. But it got rocky later last night.

Here's a pic of the heel, I think I took enough off to get the stabilizer out of the way.

I took a straight edge to be sure it was above the old bevel line. Guess I won't really know until I get to putting it on the stones

    Looks pretty good, Dave.
I have trouble with this as well. This one took 3 trips back to the Dremel and greaseless to finally get it!

I find it easier to make certain the blade is where I want in relation to the spine then worry about the heel. Not sure if this helps any. Put your smile in or what not then fix the heel after blending it in.

I found it better to do the stabilizer first. Any mistakes down low will disappear as shaping the edge.

If you smile it first, it is what it is....

I see what you're saying with making the blade the size you need if it's uneven.
Then take care of the stabilizer.
But this blade is even so it doesn't need any work of that type.

It was just the hone /regrind someone didn't do properly. I'm very happy they didn't hit thee stamp in the blade though.

    I'll keep progress pics coming

That is what ejmolitor was referring to.
I was referring to the opposite.

Got started with the CA on the scales. As you can see I need to get a small brush to brush it on to fill in the tiny pits.
Unless Mike, Mike or Tom have other suggestions. Then sand that out and into the Neets foot oil for a couple weeks
