Tomorrow I will clean it up and apply the 24k goldwash.
That's about it for tonight though, eyes are too tired to see through the lopue. Hehehe.

A Torrey too! Nice! Don't do too much!

Light fine steel-wool and polish/buff should bring the scales to almost slick-black. Hard rubber! VERY brittle!

Yes indeed. I usually go 600 grit wetsand and go to buffer with some white rouge. I love bringing old Bakelite back to life. Name: IMG_5431.jpg

Thought for sure you got one when I seen that Phrank. Pretty sure mine was end of line, 27mm.

Wow, Mike, you are the MAN! A kind, generous, and talented soul for sure. That tool is amazing, as is your work. I can't wait to see it with the gold in the letters! Many, many thanks and praises to you sir.

The scales on this razor are fine...actually quite unique.

Sanding away...there are no washer's on the one set of pins at the pivot....one piece scales, beautiful work, looks like wood to me but could be horn....scales are very well made, solid as a rock.

Sanding away....crappy pics, tang stamp hasn't survived the years that well, no sanding there, just cleaning that area up.

Here's a pic of another Palmera from the interwebs...pretty sure this was the etch that is/was on mine, and the scrunge looks the same too....

The Devil has spat upon this razor something fierce....typical looks like it will come out with some light sanding or some Maas...no dice.

Tried the old trick of "sanding' with a rolled up ball of aluminum foil (dull side and bright side), tried some CROX to polish out....Bwahahaha, the Devil merely laughs, and says it will take a lot more than that to get rid of me....

This stuff ain't going no-where.....does "Devil's Spit" count as a finished look?
