When I do washerless I taper the pin holes so the swelling of the rod is in the scales, up toward the outside surface. It still allows them to draw tightly together. I think a brass tube might work against that process.
When I did the ivory tang on the Wade a while back, I used aluminum tubing in the hole at the pivot to protect the ivory tang from cracking. Worked the charm so I am certain it would help with brittle materials for sure.
Thanks Shaun. Always appreciate the ideas.

Thanks Pepe, appreciate the kind words.
It's a home made material of urethane and stabilized burl remnants dyed to the colour of my choosing. Link below to the thread where I created it.

There is a material called shokwood that was my inspiration, but they didn't ship to Canada so I started making my own.
Here's the scales, safely separated.

Now to decide if I still want to try the logo. These almost look pretty enough without it.
Not sure, opinions alway welcome..

I think the logo is not really needed. I like those scales enough and I feel the logo might be too much.

Logo might be neat in the resin area but as Shaun said its pretty awesome how it is.

Personally I think the logo would be too much. And might actually get lost in the look of those scales

So here's the Greave after sanding and cleaning. Getting ready for neats foot. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bd316a9a31.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8305943f84.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...159ae7af3a.jpg
Tried doing the lower grit sanding on the blade face I went up to 1k then back to 400. Its more difficult than I expected for some reason. But now I'm gonna do any blade adjustment I might need to so I can have a nice bevel then its off to soak. Any suggestions or feed back always appreciated.

Nice Work!:tu
However I'd dock that lazy helper at least a couple of days pay/or food bowls. :w
