And ... for a good fixation is useful epoxy resin with slow hardening (the same as that used in the micarta - I have an attempt there) or it needs something more "elastic"?
I think you're referring to this one.

I've watched this one too. Always wanted to try it, but never have. Give it a go if you like. I think it would make a great finish.

Not necessarily, it's not required, it's just better for soft wood because it's generally more prone to water damage.

Don't look at how deep the hole is. Look at how much hair is above the handle. Go as deep as you need to, to achieve the proper loft.

You don't need anything real special here. Any 2 part epoxy will work just fine. The key is not to use too much, so it's not push up and out the sides when you install it.

    Yes, this is it.
Right now I only have a slow-curing epoxy which is very liquid and I think it better fills the gaps.
I do not have c.a. In 2 components (with separate activator), I hope it works with the standard one.

    I have a friend with a room....Actually a small house outfitted similarly.
He has 2 tall antennas out in the field as well.

They have a club, all get together for a weekend and have contests with other clubs the world over to relay messages and so forth. See how far out they can get someone.

    Looks quite interesting and fun.

Not really. As i am a truck driver. But that kind of launguage is not permited on the radios in that room.

I too have antennas on towers and do contesting world wide. I perfer to see how many different country/entities i can get confermation by mail that we did speak together. My type of comunication of choice is CW (morse code), but i can do it all encluding the digital modes.

Anyway, ill not bore you with my radio stuff on a razor forum. Enjoyed sharing the putting together of my room. Still need to put some stuff on the walls and do the closet but...

The epoxy you have will work just fine. Just make sure you give it enough time to cure before you use it.

As for the CA, you don't need the activator. Just make sure to give it 5-10 minutes in between coats.

Thanks Mike. Shall do when i get home.

I liked that movie. Not the way i talk on the radio but it was a great movie.

At one time, and on another shave forum, i did a thread on being the gasman. And i had others say i should do the same about radio. But radio can get to be a very deep subject. Math, wavelengths, antenna building, etc... so i never did it. Might think about it here as long as people dont go wanting me to explain trig to figure out velosity factors of a signal in a coax cable.

And of corse in its own thread.
