Wonder if we may persuade Martin to dig up some history on Melchior?

Not my kind of thing but I wonder if there is a Benito Mussolini straight. I figure it would have to be good around the chin if they did make one

Seems I have seen an 'Il Duce' razor at some point.
    Still. Just razors, I think.

I keep mine tucked away. Ya never know!

So, I meant to do this days ago. However, I kept reading to catch up on the thread and then it was my bed time.

I didn't actually turn my brush handle. I started out with 1.5" x 1/5" x 12" block of marble wood. I haven't really seen this on the forum, but it was on sale.

I started out by drilling out the holes and rounding off the corners with my dremel. There are two in the first picture, but I have to finish sanding the second. It's supposed to be nice this weekend, so hopefully I'll finish it up.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to get my overall shape. My trusty dremel solved this solution. Aaaand about 3 or 4 60 grit drums.

From there, I used the 120 grit drums to remove the gouges and rough marks. I worked up from 320 grit paper to 2000 grit. I spent awhile handsanding the handle with the 320 paper to develop the shape a little more. My father was in town and I wanted to finish the brush while he was here, so I went with some satin finish Minwax. Otherwise, it would be Truoil. That's what I'm going to do with the second brush, which will be his.
