Looks to be a 6/8" half hollow grind , from what I see.
As for the scales.... I agree with Sharptonn. But if you don't like them, I'll be glad to get rid of them for ya. [emoji5] I know how to deal with them. [emoji57]
Great find, you'll enjoying shaving with it. Guaranteed !!Mike

Thanked: 237Hey boys, I picked this up the other day. The pictures sucked, and I thought it was covered in patina. I've been wanting a CMON, so I went for it. The Blackie come up all the time, and are always slightly out of my price range.
One swipe with a microfiber cloth, and well, you see just finished honing, shave tomorrow for the career fair!

Thanked: 237It has been honed before, but my guess is once, maybe twice. The wear is even and minimal. Set it on the chosera 1k, then reduced a thick slurry on my Nakayama to a dry paste. It took a very nice edge, and I'll give it a go in the morning.
Edit: it has some cracking on one side of the third pin, but I can live with that!

Well a package from Mr.Bill came today. Very generous I might add.
Thank you so much Bill.!!
But I dont have any fire crackers....yet, and I'll have to get some lighter fluid, tonka truck and dozer as to make the set complete.
Seeing these took me back 40 some yrs. Great memories [emoji25]
I can hear ya all now.... OH MAN..!!
I remember playin with those.
Well their all mine, ya see... MINE!!
That definitely takes care of the kid in me. [emoji39]
But lets take a look at the grown up side now.
Bill.... From the bottom of my hart...
Thank you, very very much.
First up. Some pipe cleaners that have a abrasive quality about them, wich I've never seen before but got a good idea where I can use them for restorations.
A disposable scalpel, wich will come in handy for sure.
And a beautiful, made in USA 4oz
Pin masher.
Also two types of shave soaps, that smell great.
And a sweet 6/8 full hollow Satina razor. Made in Germany, distributed by ,West side grinding Co. 8 Bedford st. NY. C.
For the grand finale....
Still in shock n all.
I'll charish it for ever Bill. Wow!!
Can't wait till tomorrow to try it out.
Brace yourselves fellas....
Still can't believe ya gave this up Bill.
Knowing Bill's character... Its probably a RSO [emoji23] [emoji23]
So to further adoo.
Again Bill ,thank you so very much.
Hopefully I can get some razzer work done.... Now that I got my army men to play with. Already had one battle while i set them up for the pic.[emoji6]
Aint the same without the fire crackers and lighter fluid though.[emoji5]Mike
