Thanked: 4206Yes it is. Mike sent me a pair, and they were matched so I used both, taped together to cut out the scales.
Grain swirls are matched on the halves because of it. I like the feel of it. Even Bill might like them, for after gardening maybe..

I didn't mean to seem as though I was implying that emotional issues are what alcoholics suffer from any more or less, that's not what i meant. I should have specified. "He" has emotional issues, it is more so an element of his alcoholism than most alcoholics that i know. I'm not trying to dismiss his problem with emotional issues either. Just saying that you get a room of drunk people myself included, and assign a description to each, "emotional issues" would suit him best. As long as he is abusing himself the way he is, and its bad, he has shown that his emotional state has deteriorated and will continue to. I hope his rock bottom isn't any deeper. goes from physically violent to crying in seconds.
Anyway thanks for the good words guys. We've all been affected in one way or another by such things. Can't say I don't love some good Belgian ale though, also a finely crafted bloody Mary. Just do as "you should", try to be safe, and always remember that a compassionate perspective affords a priceless view.
Looks great Mike! Man I really like that design, went so well with the tang.
It is interesting to see the different looks that Blackwood gives. But one thing is hard to see in pics is the "two-tone" quality. I really love Blackwood for it.
Notice in the pics how from different angles it has a golden color that shines.
Nice work Mike!

Thanked: 4206Thank you gents.
Been a good day. Worked some on the new ride, had a good shave, got some lovely prezzies from folks that love, and 'get' me.
All good, and more than I deserve at the mid century point on this ride.

You guys are young! I'm 67, but back to the point, Happy Birthday Mike, and beautiful work on that razor. The scales are so perfect for that blade, and I would have never guess when I first saw them in their raw form.
