So. What are you guys doing here? I leave for a while and go hone. Do other stuff.
Come back and the place is a shambles.
Where the hell is MikeT? In the shower? Outback! How are you? Mike? What are you working on?
Butchered blades, Men....Let's GO!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 4827Well I have been working on not butchered blades. Sorry but I have had some on the bench for an embarrassing long period of time.

Thanked: 4206Guilty as charged Tom!
I too spent some time on the hones lately. Fixed up an Alwyn, a Palmera, with a cracked heel and that Boker Regal.
This weeks been Audi ecu reprogramming and program tweaking on my A4. While the weather has been cooperating. That and a few Christmas turning projects that had to get done.
If your package ever gets released to me by customs,,, I will then turn back to a few eagerly awaited projects in the razor world. The pair of ducks and hopefully that ivory tanged WB!!
Steve, that is a right sexy razor bro! Love the shape..

No more broken stuff Tom.
Just making scales for some naked blades up here, and doing some honing.
Can't remember if anyone seen this... but this was the last butchered blade I was working on. It had a cracked heel, and needed shoes.

And I have a set of scales made and finished in tru oil for a Clauss, that I plan on finishing today. As well as honing up the Joseph Rodgers monkey tail, for tomorrows SOTD.
Then I can start the next set of scales I have. Things have had to slow down around here, with all the holiday crap going on. Have been trying to get the dehydrator to MikeT before Xmas.... But haven't got that done either. Really hate this time of year.
It makes people crazy!!Mike

Looks like I've made my first purchase of some Sheffield steel. So will be shortly displaying my refurbishment abilities or more likely, my lack thereof.

Thanked: 4206Looks like a nice first entry indeed Tony! Should clean up a treat!
I personally favour my Rodgers' over my Butchers. YMMV though depending on blades.
