Nice we can share with one another whilst giving credit where it is due!

The repair should be good for balance as it is right at the pivot?

Oh no you don't Tom!!!! I had that patent around here but my dog ate it!!!!!

Anyway guys, I've been working on my new set of scales when I get a chance to do so. I got one side flat on the DMT & now I'm working on making the other side flat but this time I'm gonna mark 'em where they're joined with the carpet tape. The others were so flat that when they were stuck together, it was hard to see where they were joined.

Made a second attempt repairing turtle scales. This time for a Swedish frameback by Erik Anton Berg. The problem was the same, cracked transversely at pivot pin.
This time, instead to glue a transparent plastic sheet inside all scale long as I did with the Rodgers, I had some meat more, so I decided to dig a recess inside the broken scale and install a metal insert to stabilize, sparing the power of the scales to add some color to the flexcoat resin.
My attempts to do this without leaving a scar were unfruitful, but the scales are on duty again.
Schools out for Summah! Thanks Shell Man!
