I just typed in "making & pouring acrylic into a mold" & I came up with the following Youtube video:

Yo Steve, the scales would have to be really big to make that casting work...

Yo, Ishmael....................Pfffffffffft! I think your thinking cap got so low that when you...............well, it gave you brain damage!

Yep Mike & more. I get these crazy ideas in my head like laser burners & than B52 made me think of how to make some molds & scales when he posted that one about the acetone evaporating. I've been thinking of the glitter too & some nice scales could be made using it. I sent him some information yesterday about some lasers that actually burned wood. Also making a mold or two & getting some of that liquid plastic to make some scales would be cool. I need to find how to make a certain color of that liquid plastic plus the time for setting needs to be known so one could use the glitter but from what it looks like, it sets up pretty quick but I'm not for sure unless I were to try it myself. I have also seen some scales like a Summate that has one color of glitter in it & it looks pretty sharp like this one:

I'm sure they have different colors of that plastic resin plus I'm sure a person could make a certain design prior using a slow setting clear epoxy, then adding it into some scales with the plastic resin & come out with a nice set of scales. It just takes some imagination..........
I'm convinced Bill was a class clown in his school days as a youth!
But...............I was too!

I think y'all are getting ready to make razors over here....I'm seeing Lazer Mike cutting out some future inlays, and outback dancing around the mold that steve has made, sprinkling glitter into it and the two of them pouring the goo in from a two handled smelting pot.....now you just need someone to set up making the blades....Shaun...you listening?
