Thanked: 4827One of the manufactures in Eskilstuna made vintage razors with a double pin on the wedge. I lost an auction on one once upon a time, I was intrigued to say the least.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

I suppose it is a matter of taste? So I have a desk lamp with an LED bulb, Mike.
Those scales were had with rotten, broken pivot ends and were shortened to the top pin-hole."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Gee, how come I didn't get scolded, for my double pin wedge, with vintage blade.
You...! Meeny....!
It's ok, Mike. I have thought about it before but use CA to keep my wedge from spinning & cutting down on the extra pin. It especially looks awkward on some that might have larger collars or bullseye collars.
I have issues now with my computer suddenly not allowing my iPhone or digital camera upload any pics to it so now I need to call my Apple girl in Austin. I like talking to her anyway, she's a sweetie but she's spoken for.
She has one of those sweet voices that give ya the good goose bumps all over when talking to her.
I have been sanding on the Clark & Hall but I need to find a stick to apply the sandpaper to instead of using my hand. I also have a Torrey blade that has a round toe & it had a small chip at the to so I ground it of, not taking away from the length much & I wanted to show pics of them but it isn't working. It's a nice shoulders blade & I'm going to make some bone scales for it. I think it would look really good with those on it.

MikeT, you must be referring to that satin like finish. I know I'm not Tom, thank God for that..................., we don't need two of 'em but possibly some scotchbrite would do the trick or something like some 800-1000 grit sandpaper. Use a junk blade to experiment first. He'll have to answer you on the Babur collar.

Haven't had any problems with my wedge's spinning.
Just as things start to snug, where they dont move freely, that when i check everything is in line. Few more taps ,check again. Till tightMike

Babur is a guy in Germany who sells these pins. You can find him on Ebay looking under 'cut throat razor pins'.
He sells some with a variety of domes, cat eyes, etc which go over the installed collar or use them by themselves.
They go through the scale and bottom on the wedge/pivot, so stay tight and don't damage scales. They also come with brass spacers. The silver ones are plated brass, so care on the buffer with them or they will be brass! Work a treat!
I have invested rather heavily in them........Don't always use them, however. Good option for many scales, though.
They also work well under Ajkenne's collars which are quite nice!
