Here is that 5 pin, double wedge pin double middle pin spacer that I was talking about. Its a bit over the top, just was trying to let my imagination go for a ride. Its not done, the wedge needs to be made, at present it is a rear spacer, and Ive got over-sized copper pins to put in all around flush with copper guilding to reduce bulkiness...
Go ahead, Im used to the criticism...
I really like those scales.....I can see one of my W&B 9/8's in those....wow...mirror finish on the blade, sparklin' like a diamond in a goats azzz, and some of those scales, really get the purists to seizure up!

Those are fantastic, I gather those are your own design?

LMAO Dude you make me laugh constantly. How am I supposed to work if Im laughing all the time. It reminds me of a time I was studying for my final exams in anatomy, and dive physics, and my buddies came in from a camping/hunting trip. My one buddy was half dead from blood loss. Apparently they got a bit too drunk and had an accident, and I spent WAY too long removing buckshot from the back of his legs, ass, back and yes even a bb from his testes. They didnt want to go to the hospital because they thought they would be in trouble. ANYWAY, the reason this reminds me of it is because if you ever have to remove buckshot from someones rear.... .... try not to laugh the whole time!!!

Can't, I don't have any old junkers, and the one's I used to have are down to about a 3/8 after starting at around 7/8, it's amazing how quickly you can thin out a Naniwa 1k....

Thanks for the compliments! Means a lot. Those are my own design, mostly, I looked around, saw some cool looking custom scales, traced the blade and started drawing.
The design of the scales was in fact meant for a large razor.. I wanted the blade to "show some leg"... but at the time I didnt have a chopper, this blade is a 7/8.

Sounds like you need us more than we need you! Go buy a few oldies. One for blade, another for scales.
Do something yourself. Quite rewarding as-done!

My focus is still on basic honing skills, when I can be consistent, know how to diagnose a razor, and get some consistently good edges, then I'll take a step up the ladder, but the quest to set the perfect bevel is a ways away, I'm patient and enjoy taking my time.

Besides, I learned restoring scales means a lot more than soaking them in neatsfoot for a week.....I hope Wolfpacks workroom still doesn't stink with the razors I sent him....

Making them shave should be first and foremost, Andrew. Screwing one up so it cannot be honed is of no use, FME. I am certain Mike has plenty stinky razors in queue. I certainly wish he would share some skills here. A fine restorer, IMO.
