Otay. Enough Tom-bashing for a while!
Me and the outbackster have done two. Mike did one. Hell, Mike and myself have managed to get a few on Custom Builts and Restorations. Let's see some progress and quit reinventing the wheel.
Get it on!Last edited by sharptonn; 09-12-2015 at 02:59 AM.

The three pin razor is not too hard. If you are making the middle spacer, remember to account for the proper curvature of the scales based on the tang taper and wedge taper. Just measure it and make the middle spacer right.
Here is that 5 pin, double wedge pin double middle pin spacer that I was talking about. Its a bit over the top, just was trying to let my imagination go for a ride. Its not done, the wedge needs to be made, at present it is a rear spacer, and Ive got over-sized copper pins to put in all around flush with copper guilding to reduce bulkiness...
Go ahead, Im used to the criticism...“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

Thanked: 4206Mike, I like steampuck, and that almost qualifies. I'd personally find a Spanish or modify the point of a blade I have to that front end. Pick up the angle and either compliment or contrast that radical nose. I'd also bust out an old watch and set some of the gears and works into the mid scale almost like an insignia, but not quite.
Dude that's bold and proud.
Nice job, despite the potential onslaught of flamage..

Thats the red coolibah burl I offered to send you, CA finish.
I made the end that way on purpose to expose the blade more, a style I was working with at the time. Gears would be cool but I didnt want to crowd it all...
Edit. Red cooilbah burl laminated to african blackwood. copper and blackwood spacers. copper guilding.Last edited by MikeT; 09-12-2015 at 03:18 AM.

Very nice MikeT!!!!! Those are gorgeous..............
I don't know WTF is going on. Every time I pick one up, something else comes up. First it was the damn lawn mower, then my Mac won't upload pics, earlier my kitchen faucet broke & now the garbage disposal just went out!

OH!.......That was you, eh, MikeT!.............I thought it was cool, yet strange. I expected the thing in the middle to start whirring and spinning! Your workmanship is excellent. Putting it to complementary focus is where you need to concentrate with the skills you have. Being from California is simply no excuse, My Friend!
