Just like to thank all the restorers that contribute to this thread.

I find it extremely interesting reading and seeing how you go about restoring very old straights.

We have a saying in Afrikaans... "a boer maak a plan" which translated means "a farmer makes a plan". In other words, use ingenuity to solve an issue if there's is no obvious solution. This is what fascinates me about the restoration work you gents do.

I sold something on eBay so I have a Vibratory Tumbler on its way with walnut media & corn cob media.

K guys, little side tracked and off topic...but.....
My barber friend up here , gave me 2 straights for one he wanted cleaned up and honed.
Both are New Jersey razors.
Both 4/8 ths.
One is a Electric cutlery Co.
That i cleaned and rescaled for him earlier this year.
The other is a J. Wiss & Son Co.
Both out of Newark, New Jersey.

Here's the razor he wanted done.
When i looked it over , I told him i may never return with it.[emoji57]
It was distributed by the ,
W.H. BAUGHMAN CO.
a barber supply co. here in my city of Akron,Ohio. From 1917-1930.
Well I'll give it back to him hesitantly. DAMMIT!!!!
At least I'll get a shave out of it...[emoji6]
