Dang it Tom, why is it you always find the fantastic deals? Somehow, and I'm at a loss as to why, these screaming deals slipped past my weary eyes... now I know why you have such an extensive collection!
Did I hear something about a workshop you are hosting on advancing one's eBay skills? I am so there.
    Hehehe

P.S. I got butterflies in my tummy when I saw those Urham Emonstrators .. .. .. Weekender set???

Better to post a pic than link to an auction, I believe.
Besides seeming to be more fun, no chance of vendor-bashing and the pic will stay on the thread!
    Nice scales, however!

Yes, I suspect that razor might eventually find a new home. Simply because of those nutbags out there that only collect scales...

Good point about the link, and the scales.

A Friodur! There are 5 bids on this thing! Albeit not much.

What's wrong with that one? Other than a damaged etch?

Look at the honewear on the spine. Look at the width of the bevel.
That baby has been run on a hone about a zillion laps!

Agreed Tom. That thing has so much hone wear on it, it has paid for itself hundreds of times over.

I often find it a little bit amusing how much hone wear is considered acceptable on a big Sheffield wedge and how little hone wear is acceptable on a German blade. That old Henckels has seen better days for sure but I bet it is just fine for people looking for an inexpensive razor. It will have a big wide bevel for sure, but it's a Henckels so once honed I'm sure the shave will be fine.
