As for heat, you can stick the tip of a cigarette over the top of the Aladdin chimney and a couple of puffs and it is lit! It was a great way to conserve matches when I was running low and did not want to walk to town for matches.

In the beginning it was long, all the same length, greased back into a pony tail, short beard, my wife says I looked like I could have been a cartel member. Old trucks and old motorcycles, leather jacket, double sole boots. I looked like the usual suspect.
Then I had children, that’s where the lifestyle took a dramatic turn. My mother always said some day a girl would come along and change my life forever, I had never expected that it would be my daughter.

I’d suggest if/when you upgrade, go to red led bulbs at the same time. (Including new led friendly flasher relay).
Will make the red super ‘pop’ at night..
I did go ahead and order the upgrade and it landed today. It truly was Plug and Play. It took much longer to get the unit located, the wires secured and the seat back on than it did to install.

The upgrade works perfectly but I don't really understand how it works. 1157 bulbs have two contact points and two filaments/that's how you get low and bright like with a taillight/brake light.

My turn lights use 1156 bulbs with only a single contact so a single filament. But with this new module somehow I have running lights AND Brake Lights.

Oh well it's probably way above my pay grade to know

After looking and reading I have ordered some RED LED bulbs for the turn lights. Unfortunately I can't install a Red LED in the brake light housing as it also acts as the illumination for the license plate and Washington State (and I'm sure many others) require a WHITE Light for the illumination.

I suppose I could use a White LED but it'd probably turn the brake light PINK instead of red.

The weather's supposed to take a turn for the worse so I'll be getting some miles in today and tomorrow.

The Red LED lights landed today and I've got them installed.

I tried to get my camera to focus on the same area on the before and after pics but wasn't completely successful.

All pics have the traditional 1157 bulb in the tail/brake light.

Here's with the traditional 1156 bulbs as running lights.

It's been raining all day here but maybe tomorrow night I can get the bike outside and see what the new lights look like in the real world.

The rain stopped a couple of hours ago and now it's as dark as it'll get here in the city--
