can i ask why you picked a 9mm s/a as a back up gun,is it down to having the same ammo, personally as a back up emergency gun i would rather a hammerless 38 revolver such as a Smith & Wesson Model 642

I asked for politics (and thus the gun control debate) to stay out of the finer things forum.
I don't care what anyone's opinion is on the topic of gun related politics, it has no place here.
Now I ask for the 2nd time to keep political / controversial debate out of the finer things forum.
    I will not ask a 3d time.

I'm guess you're law enforcement? Cause I was about to ask how you live in my area and are carrying lol.
There is always a solution, whether it's already present or if you have to make it.

I have a mossburg I use for hunting nothing to fancy. Am starting to look into pistols. Looking into something like a 1911. Again not a fancy gun utilitarian. I would like to take advantage of pistol deer season back home in Illinois and to work on pistol marksmanship for work ( I'm a Marine and don't have as much trigger time on a pistol as I do long guns). And have found I am very comfortable with the 1911 style .45 s. if anyone has a suggestion on a modestly priced 1911 wit a great function and feel I would like to hear it.
