I have a neat ball bearing roll out hanger suspended in one of my cupboards that is designated for cast iron only. I just hope the thing doesn't collapse under all that weight.

Sounds to me my friend like the ball bearing set up needs to be replaced with those old fashioned steel wheels that ran in a c-channel to slide old barn doors from left to right. And the whole thing reinforced with some steel bracing; That ought to hold the weight.

OH! I'll bet a Dollar to a Dog Turd that you already have those wheels and the steel laying around. So get with it Benz!

I've got the track and the wheels Roy. I should also find another place to store all of my Volrath and Revere ware stainless steel. Oh crap, I forgot, I need a place to store all of my stone ware crocks too. I guess my place is old school when it comes to cooking.

There's NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING OLD SCHOOL!!!!!! I'm in constant envy of you and the heirlooms that surround you. :

Now a 'Crock' that's something that I'd love to have! Back in '68 when I was 14 I worked on my grandmother's oldest sister and husband's farm outside Deary ID. We made 5 gallons of homemade Hires Root Beer Every week in one of those crocks! You can't buy the extract anymore and I doubt that the ones that are available would come even close to the wonderful flavor that the old Hires did.

I have these pans, and they are just incredible. No problem with sticking, and best of all, I don't have to baby them as I do cast iron. They are far less prone to rust, easy to clean and much lighter. The only time I use my cast iron now is when I need maximum heat retention, like for searing a steak or making biscuits.
