When I got home this afternoon I had the idea of making coleslaw and my wife was thinking about making a chicken hotdish. So we compromised! After the hotdish was in the oven my 3 year old grandson and I set to work on the slaw. I decided to go with the Ramen noodle type because I like it and I had things handy. We were talking about all the different ingredients and I asked him what he thought should be in there. He said Pretzels. He has been on a Pretzel kick lately. I am open to many things and the dried Ramen is sort of like a Pretzel. So we tried it in a smaller bowl on the side and if you look close in the picture you can see them. It certainly was edible but I think the salt on the Pretzels didn't go well with the rest. If I had unsalted pretzels I would try it again. As you can tell I like to live life on the edge!

My wife's hotdish turned out well as usual but it needed a little salt and pepper. Now off to get my son and his broken down car. A different son than I had to get last week.

Well I made ragu for the first time today for dinner. No pics as I forgot to stop stuffing my face and take a pic. I will take a pic when I reheat the leftover sauce. I made like 2 gallons worth of sauce. I used lamb and pork and italian sausage as the meats and let it cook for about 4 or 5 hours. It was the best sauce I have ever had.

What pasta did you pair it with?

I was wanting to use some gemelli but didn't have enough so I ended up using spaghetti which I always have plenty of. Still it was great with spaghetti.

I can tell you have a sweet tooth. There's a disproportionate amount dessert for the dinner on that table. LOL.

I think it is just that the pictures are of different proportions. That is a ladle in the bowl with some very big pieces of bread and I think that the desert bowl is only about 2 inches in diameter!

Does this mean you mashed them with your fork?

You both are half right if that makes sense ? The bowl is a medium size ramenkin with my soup spoon(I have Euro size flatware and the dessert bowl is about 4 1/2 X 2 1/2 . I do have a sweet tooth and I do like my angles
