    Quick tuesday dinner: Redfish fillet with lime butter quinoa, beetroot greens, inoki mushrooms and a herb mayonnaise.

    This is as unpretentious as it gets - a bowl of beans with tasty bread. It's especially good after shoveling a foot of snow

    For variation I'll probably add bacon or ham to the rest when I have it again in few days, but tonight we had it as just vegetables.

    Looks healty,but without bacon, maybe a hamhock,some saltpork.it needs something

    It's a different taste, and I happen to like both with or without meat. I add olive oil for the last hour or so of cooking so it's emulsified and adds lots of flavor and enough umami taste.

    One of the benefits of being a grown up is eating whatever I want for dinner, so earlier tonight I made some crepes

    Had some with variety of cheeses (banon, roquefort, camembert), some with apricot jam, and some with nocciolata

    Really good flavor, a tiny bit lighter then my normal Carbonara recipe, the wife and I both were thinking about how much better it will be this late summer when we can use fresh stuff out of the garden...
