Tonight we have Brats cooked in an onion and Heineken bath, then browned and thrown back into the bath...all served ontop of a Creamy Parmesan Risotto with mushroom and sweet peas...and some Bogle Merlot.

We went for sushi tonight. But Valentines day dessert was chocolate eclairs that I made this morning.

When it's 6 degrees and a 25 mph wind all day.....Venison Chili and Jalapeņo cornbread out of the oven !!! The Nessmuck Chili has (2) special ingredients...1 bottle of Heineken and Chocolate .

No added sugar:I like sweet potatoes but, most times I've had'em they were usually drowning in sweet sugary additions which is too much for my palate unless it's dessert. So we got....... Cajun spiced sweet potatoes ,onions,Cajun smoked bacon and a Habenero green chile sausage all simmered in some chicken stock, bacon fat and a little drizzle of Virgin coconut oil. It's sweet just right with hot spicy caramelized and tropical. And boy howdy do I love cast iron !

Y'know I thought about that. I have in my later age added a lot more veg to my diet and instead of two sausages I cut it down to one. I still eat pretty healthy but I am trying to cut down on my meat portions a bit . I am definitely getting quality though.

I know it probably seems ridiculous to most of you, but sometimes the heart wants what it wants, or is it the gut - same thing
