I saw a picture of a meatball sub sandwich a couple of weeks ago somewhere on the web and commented that it looked really good. My wife remembered and made them tonight. Good stuff.

So day before yesterday I went to the Russian market. This was my snack earlier in the evening Tue. The last of the Kvas (think young weak beer meets rye bread and mild chocolate) I didn't hardly last me a day, I love Kvas. Some really awesome Polish Kielbasa ,Lithuanian Black Bread a little Colby cheddar and some German mustard Mmmmmmm ! Name: 003.jpg

Next came Late Supper....Mashed garlic and olive oil potatoes , pan simmered Cajun Portobello Mushroom and Sage Parsnip with Pan Gravy and pan fried Andouille Sausage Num nums ! It was all simmered low and slow in the cast Iron skillet and the parsnips had a very nice umami thing going like savory sweet candy ....I love eating. ...Name: 001.jpg

Wish I could still eat like you do N.B I used to be a major Carnivore,Polish sausage, give me 3 of them,Lamb chops (my fave meat) will take 4.
Prime rib was always a huge enedcut,28 OZ ribeye,no problem.
Am on the high side of 60 just cannot eat like that anymore, you just do not digest meat when you get older.

In general as I get older I find myself wanting quality more than quantity.

I am having problems in the area of food though.....
