    It did, thanks! I'm not 100% with my brisket, but this time the bark/taste/tenderness fortunately all came together. No left overs!

    BadAzz looking bark, and you let it normalize long enough judging by the lack of juice run off!
    Good job sir.
    Personally, I always pull mine when the core hits 122 and let it stand for 20 minutes under foil and a clean terry cloth before carving.
    That would have been a great dinner.
    Congrats.

    VERY nice. I appreciate anyone who catches, shoots, or otherwise bags their own dinner. You get triple the reward - once while fishing, once while cooking, and finally while eating.

    While it might not be 'Ideal' you could post the recipe there and then post a link 'here' to discuss it.

    I can see why Nelson want's to keep the posts 'pure' and only about recipes. It will prevent things going off topic or otherwise 'astray'.

    Give it a go!

    Tonight we have Fresh SwordFish with butternut Squash and Brussle Sprouts that were blanched for 6 min and then put into a baking dish with pats of buttah and then a stiff drizzle of NH Maple Syrup and topped with Pecans...put into a 400 degree oven for 40 min.......a bit of heaven !!!

    After more than a month of delays, my youngest daughter along with the two grand kids Finally got together with me for her Belated 26th Birthday Supper.

    I fixed Clam Chowder, a Special Salad and Cornbread Muffins and was going to have corn on the cob but she showed up with baked corn pudding.

    I figured that 'white chowder served in white dishes' would be very boring; BUT the salad looked great! I used a head of living butter lettuce and had it 'drinking' for a day in the frig and it really crisped up nice. I then cut the inner leaves out and mixed the torn leaves with grated carrot, shredded red cabbage and shredded cheddar cheese.

    Then the mixture was placed back in the bottom leaves of the head so that it would look 'Purdy'; Like this;

    Then the salad was divvied up and the salad dressing of choice was used.

    Yea I know! Where's the rest??????????

    All I can say is that everything was a big hit!
