    That is a feed fit for a king in my realm mate. Doesn't need to be over fancified anymore than it already is.

    Damn was it good!

    I really should have waited to take the pic until I'd topped the egg with my homemade seasoning. It would have looked so much 'Fancier' Oh Well
    I haven't had Lyle's for a long time....love that stuff !

    I saw that yesterday. Sad news on that front. He was the pope of cajun/creole cooking. His first book is still the bible on that. My copy is well worn.

    I may have to make some Gumbo in his honor over the weekend. I was sad when Justin Wilson passed too. John Folse will be with us for a while though Lord willing. When he goes though then I don't know what the world will do. Behold the Holy Cajun Trinity ...........

    I'd heard of Chef Paul's passing and I'm embarrassed to post my meager attempt of culinary art/AKA 'Supper' with that said here it is;

    Linguine topped with fresh red sauce made using tomatoes from my little patch flavored with lots of onion, garlic and herbs topped with American style Parmesan cheese and accompanied by steamed asparagus with a onion, white wine infused butter dip and french bread with butter, rosemary and garlic spread then topped with American style Parmesan cheese then placed under the broiler to brown.

    While it's not what Chef Paul would have fixed it's not bad eats!

    Beef and Bacon Pie from A Feast of Ice and Fire, a cookbook inspired by Game of Thrones.
    Also on the menu were apples bought today at a local orchard.
