Hot wings cooked in a pressure cooker, then browned in the oven...

Looks great! I see the celery but where's the blue cheese? That bowl looks empty. Mmmmmmm...hot wings.

It's hard to see but there is ranch dressing in the ramekin.

Mmmmmmm...ranch.

Youngest daughter and the two kids were here for the day. It's been unusually cold and rainy so I planned ahead and today I fixed Sauerbraten, Rot Kol and some fresh bread topped with butter.

There were barely enough fresh strawberries for the kids.

Fresh Peas? Bread

Frozen peas and store bought ciabatta bread. The bread looked good at the store. In hindsight plain bread would have been better. The ciabatta was competed with the pork so I put bbq sause on top of the sauce the pork was cooked in.

Since my dad worked for Green Giant and could buy 'Dent's (imperfect cans NOT for sale to the public) for about $1.50-$2.00 for a case of 24/I was raised on those unlabeled dented cans.

I never thought that there might be something better than canned peas/until I tasted fresh from the garden peas and new potatoes in cream sauce.

Frozen peas are close to fresh and I use them in every thing from creamed potatoes and peas to my Chinese Fried Rice.

Here's something from my youth:

I eat my peas with Honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife

This week it's tilapia.
Olive oil, salt, pepper.
