I'm with you on the bottom round roast, the potatoes and even the peas and carrots, but I'm afraid I'll have to agree with John Pinette on the Turnips.

    To each their own.

The start of Hungarian Goulash Soup.

Bacon frying in a dutch oven.
    Petit diced tomatoes.
    Beef stock.
    Green pepper.
    Onion.
    Fresh chopped garlic.
    Paprika.
    Kosher salt.
    Fresh ground black pepper.
    Dash o sugar.
2lb English roast, cut into 3/4" cubes.

All combined, covered, simmering for an hour or so, then some diced potatoes and cooked till tender.

A dollop of sour cream and a slice of buttered bread.... That's comfort food.!

It's and awesome thing.......loooove Swedes and turnips and parsnips ! Three under loved roots that deserve a spotlight !! Oh and while were at it.....bring on the Haggis too for reals cause it loves the roots and it too is awesome !! Like meatloaf on steroids !! Did I mention the great kilt should be brought back in fashion and for all to enjoy as it is not only comfortable but has many practical applications and is a damn handsome garment ??! Sorry .....once I get on the Scots Roll I sorta get out of hand heh !

Haggis neeps and tatties and a grand whisky sauce. Nom nom nom. I'm gonna buy one next trip.

I am also a lover of the kilt. I don't own one but must buy one. Then convince my boss that it's suitable work attire 😝

I also rather like a parsnip lol
