It all looks good! My first wife loved mussels, I like them but usually only use them in with other seafood.

I can't wait till Good Fresh Corn is available. I eat it till I'm nearly sick of it. I once told someone that corn on the cob was one of my favorite vegetables and they said; "No, it's your favorite grain." I told them "When it's dried, ground and I can enjoy it in cornbread or as a coating for frying it can be a Grain but when it's fresh, tender and so sweet, it's my vegetable."

I love mussels. I'm not particularly keen on thai sauces. Too much coconut 😂

I also love corn on the cob. Strangely however don't like it from a can or frozen. Only ever from the cob lol.

Sounds like we could sit down to good summer meal together. While a little coconut in a recipe is good, it's like coriander (cilantro) a little goes a long way

You remember the tune don't you?

    Bean, beans the musical fruit
The more you eat the more you toot
The more you toot the better you feel
So eat those beans with every meal

Of course there is the version that starts out

Beans, beans their good for your heart--------
Never thought of the cottage cheese. Will do next time for sure. There's always some in the fridge.

Yup that song still makes me laugh, memories of some great times for sure

Don't forget a little salt and black pepper on the cottage cheese.

These days I think you might be surprised! For Example:

Oh My! Why are you putting salt on your cottage cheese? There's already salt in there from when it was made!

Believe it or not, there are some that wont' use black pepper. I've never figured that one out

Not your post but I have to comment on children's versus parents menu.

In my house the kids eat what their elders are eating.
