    Well since there's no one else here at The Boars Nest, I really can't fix 'knuckle sandwiches' for anyone. However my buddy Ski, two of his boys and I went mushrooming today.

    Not much luck. Ski only found a single morel, his youngest boy found 5 slightly larger morels and I found a single small morel and 4 smaller calf brains the middle son got skunked.

    Here's my little collection;

    I decided to batter fry them. Normally after cleaning them I'd let them sit in the frost free frig overnight or so to dry out a bit but I wanted them NOW!

    Sorry but I'd already eaten the morel when I came to my senses and took a quick pic.

    Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

    Caught thus Sunday, fillets are chillin in the fridge, maybe tonight, but definitely tomorrow for sure.

    Think some coleslaw and long grain/wild rice are in order for this one.[emoji39]

    Today I met some friends were out gathering some Pheasantback or Hawkwing or also known as Dryad mushrooms.

    My experiment with them tonight for supper.

    After my humble experiment I can see how they get their reputation. I will gladly try these again with another recipe or two.
