Really looking forward to tomorrow. The wife is out Saturday, so romantic dinner evening has moved up.
Tonight is macca cheese.

Starter of stuffed shrooms, chorizo and black pudding in spicy tomato.
Rump steak, handmade oven chips, shrooms and onions, served with a garlic cheese sauce.
Time for a nap.

Tonight was halibut with jicama/apple/cucumber/lime salad and paired with albrariño. Took two pictures and not sure which one is better, so I'll just post both of them

LOL that piece of fish is just about half a pound (the piece from the store was 1.03lb and the two portions I split it to looked the same to me and my companion). I had a replenishment of the salad, but the fish was more than enough.
I like using these larger plates though

I like the second photo better. The reason is the highlight on the main item, the fish, is towards the centre of the picture and helps draw the eye towards the salad. The first kinda looks off-centre because of the highlight on the far side of the picture. Also, in the second picture, due to the lighting I think it just looks yummier. Oh, did I mention it looks yummy? It does!
