Thanked: 2284[QUOTE=engine46;1593261]Yup, that's him. I saw the price of this one and thought it was very reasonable for a BIN. Of course I made a lower offer, Haha. He's got some very, very nice blades up for auction right now. Out of my league right now...
I couldn't quite make out the complete makers mark, but after a quick google I found others like it. It says, Union Razor Co. Tidiote, PA. Now for a search on here as well. All I knew is that it was a pretty American.Last edited by HARRYWALLY; 01-24-2016 at 07:04 PM.

Thanked: 580A Hazard's Acme Cut throat Razor in original box. Looks to be in good order with little to no hone wear.
Interesting history I have found so far...
William H. Hazard, gunmaker... Auckland, sole New Zealand agent for Pain's Imperial London fireworks.
Passenger list...
vessels, GERTRUDE
London to Auckland NZ (9 Feb 1863)
Under Captain J.C. Congdon (97 days)
Hazard William H.
Every time I hear Acme, can't help but think of Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner.
Hoping it was made in New Zealand, would be a first. Probably a generic blade from Germany, maybe England. Will know more when it arrives.Into this house we're born, into this world we're thrown ~ Jim Morrison

That looks terrific Graze! I reckon it's in the same league as the O. Henckels 7/8 retailed by Bennett and Bone that I discussed with you last month. Can't wait to see the other side of the tang.

That's a very nice find Graeme with a little restore that will look like a new razor I look forward to seeing her in a future SOTD.

Thanked: 44Some blonde horn from England, these aftershaves on the strength of the recommendations from U.S members.
and these razors because I'm currently between contracts, have too much time on my hands and a weakness for Bokers and etched blades.
Damn you eBay.Last edited by puketui41; 01-26-2016 at 10:52 AM.

Two antique shaving scuttles and a vintage EverReady brush from eBay. The first features a fox hunt and is marked Burleigh Ironstone Staffordshire England with an EverReady 150 brush. The second is a mid-19th century (apparently) Canadian scuttle with advertising for Dwy Goods and Millinery. I'm guessing it's mid-19th century based on it being manufactured in West Canada, which is now called Ontario.
