I walked 1.3 miles and ran 1.3 miles on a local nature trail today. Due to the holidays and icy trails this is the first time in about a month I have ran. It felt very good. I'm hoping the weather holds so I can get some bicycling in this week.

Thanked: 485Have you ever tried boiling your eggs first before adding them? I know it sounds gross, but if you blend it up with a blender it tastes nice. reason I say this is I've read that uncooked eggs are used at about 1/2 the rate of cooked eggs. So if Rocky drinks a shake with 12 raw eggs in it he's actually only eating 6...

Thanked: 485After the bike rides and indoor bouldering session on Saturday I took off to a National park to go bouldering out side on Sunday. To get there I had to drive through kilometers of burnt out bushland from the fires we had the other week. It was rather distressing; I actually got a little teary. The pine forests were especially stark; and the eucalypt forest were really weird, all black and a pale tan colour of the dead leaves. Very odd looking.
Anyway, had a great day climbing. Did some 'highball' boulder problems, rather scary. the picture shows no 'spotter' (helpful person to guide your falling body on to the crash pad' but I had two such helpful fellows. Luckily I didn't fall as even with spotters I would have hot the boulder below.
'Topped out' to the right of the peak of the boulder...
The second picture is of a rather more 'sane' boulder. It looks like a 'piece of the proverbial' as we say In Australia but it was actually quite difficult getting over the lip (mantel; known a 'manteling').

Thanked: 485Another bouldering photo from the weekend... Off to the bouldering gym tomorrow night after two days' rest.
Also, long weekend for us this weekend so I'll be climbing, cycling, hiking and whatever; might even do a weights workout.
If you don't use it, you lose it!
