I have done it with a combination of toothpicks, popsicle sticks, spring clamps, 180+ degree water poured-over.
Cold water right now.
Tedious stuff!

I too have done it with such ways similar to what Tom mentioned plus even a wedge if they were collapsed. It worked great & saved me from unpinning the razor. If a blade is over a little more than the other, I have put things like toothpicks, popsicle sticks or whatever in between the blade & scale that are too close to each other to make it center better.Last edited by engine46; 10-25-2017 at 04:11 AM.

Wedge into desired position. Then heat gun. Celluloid may flame out when overheated!!!
What is over heated? When the scales flame!
Plastic will deform at less than 300F. Boiling water will do the job as explained above. So will a "Scunci" or an espresso machine steamer wand.

I think a blow drier rather than a heat gun, Richard!
I tried to straighten some celluloid scales in hot salt once........Got the salt too hot!
WHAT an inferno!

I've done minor straightening of celluloid scales over boiling water with a spatula. Little by little and they came out great. The steam really did the trick

Managed to disassemble my razors this morning.
Smashed collars and bent pins galore.
Why I don't bother trying to tighten much anymore.
Would be futile and result in breaking scales!

Thanked: 250Red scales, green scales? Just the right colors for Christmas. Here's the challenge Tom.......12 razors each with different color scales and you will have the "Twelve Days of Christmas" set. Go for the gusto.

I think he actually has a Christmas razor somewhere, if I remember correctly.
