Thanked: 4206Deciding to stabilize some burl sections, and a knot of grapevine root I pulled from my own garden this past season.
Trying a cactus juice northern equivalent (I hope) from a company called Woodchuckers.
Not sure what they will become yet, but one step at a time.

Thanked: 2284A local lady wants a brush and holder for her husband for Christmas. The brush is finished, I'm just working on gluing up the stand. The 45 degree box elder burl glue blocks match the brush handle, and the main pert is made from Wenge. I have it under the hood vent of the stove to eliminate any smells...... No, my wife is not home. 😁

Thanked: 4206Hi ho, hi ho, a bubblin they will go!
Sitting at almost 28” of pull on the vac pot. Will let it pull out all the air and then rest a few hours submerged.
These are some of the burl ingots you gave me Andrew. I’m excited to see how they harden up as well. Seen a vid of a guy turning ornaments, and or paperweights out of alumilite-burl pieces. Thought maybe I’d give it a go."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4206Guess it was a grapevine of wrath.
Got the burls all done and was weighing the grape root down when it shifted and my weight dropped, badly.
Very sad as I lost about a quart of stabilizer, and my vac chamber, grrrr.
Guess rubber clad weights on my next one.
What a mess..
On the positive, burls hardened up like they were soaked in viagra."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I’ve done most of the sanding on this W&B. Almost time to get her polished, fitted and pinned.

Nice one BeJay, the blade is looking nice and clean and even. Looking forward to seeing it put together.
Sorry about the vacuum chamber Mike. It was looking awesome up until that picture, but it's good the burls were completed.... soaked in Viagra you're crackin' me up!"Go easy"
