If you send Tuzi an email on PM he might answer you. He had a couple of medical issues and just hasn't made it back. But I did have a conversation with him a couple of months ago. No telling if he still has the razor but it dont hurt to ask.

I've been wondering where Garrison got to. He does some of the finest hand-finishes on old blades I have ever seen!

And YonderMountain-I've got some green abalone shell veneer left over from when I was experimenting with making a clear laminate of my own with black acrylic and epoxy. Suffice to say I broke down and ordered the ALVS and was a happy camper, so I'll probably never use it. Anyway, what I have says it's .008" (or .02cm) thick. I've got enough for a set of scales and some left over-you're welcome to them unless you've already ordered. PM me an address if you're interested. Aaron

cleaned up and made new scales for a t.frewell razor i recently picked up. no idea how old the blade is but it was fun working with horn again. damn it makes a heckalotta dust. wish i saw the thread about wedge liners sooner. stainless steel dome collars with brass pins gave it a nice finish. prob wont be able to hone it up until the weekend.

Last I talked to Tuzi he was having sight issues but it was coming around ok. I told him to jump back on the forum as we needed him to keep TC in order. He wasn't making any promises but would hope to be back when he can.

Beautiful horn and a nice job. As for the dust, it’s part of the reason I use a scraper so much during the shaping. Also I can’t say enough about good vacuums and dust collectors, they save more than cleanup.

I have been working a few Henckels and another fine Solinger toward 2 fine ones.

Some custom made scales from Matt helped.

    Miss that Matt!
