Last time i replaced the disposal the wife wanted a big sink so i did them both together. And yep, theres that little screen in the drain.
Our disposal has the magnets too but i dont even notice them. Not sure they do much.
And we have a dishwasher but the wife would rather just wash the dishes and put them away after a meal. I have her use the dishwasher a couple times a year just to try and keep the seals from drying up
It's just Sharpening, right?

Figured it was time for some razor porn, for y'all.
These are razors belonging to our member, Nipper. Its gotten physically difficult for him to restore, for him. So he asked for help, and I obliged.
Sorry, no before pics. Just the usual take down, clean and polish the blades, heel lifts where needed, chips/cracks/frowns removed. Scales cleaned, flattened, and polished as needed.
6/8 & 5/8 Green Lizard's.
HMC Cutlery Co. & Boker Red Injun
Couple Torrey's.
Mahar & Grosh
Red Devil. All original. Cleaned as pinned originally. What a smile..what a shave.!
Spagat.
Geneva Cutlery Co. Ontario
Never seen scale's like these, before. They seem to be made from some kind of plasticized pressed fiber, like fiberboard.
Anyone seen anything like that on ol Geneva razors.!?

By far, the best bluing job I've done, to date.
Getting the steel perfectly clean, and polished beforehand, then a thorough clean with denatured alcohol, is highly recommended.
As of now, I've got a set of ivory scales derusted, lightly sanded with steel wool, bleached with peroxide, and rehydrated with mineral oil, and ready to pin to a Eric Antonberg.
And a new challenge in horn scales. INLAYS.! This set is missing the flower pot. I assume it was mother of pearl, like the flower's, but I'm gonna see if I can do it in brass.
First is making a pattern by placing a piece of paper over the scales, and rubbing with a pencil, then carefully cutting it out and gluing to a sheet of .005 brass. I'll be lucky if this works first try, gotta start somewhere, to get there....right.!
Ha! This is gonna be some fun.

Inlays are cool but tricky to do. Nice work!
