Decided to go through the pile.....I have this Worcester Blade with tobacco advertising and this set of scales with a Native American Indian / Swastika. Since I have neither in my collection, I think they may go well together.
I had been looking for a Cattaraugus, but don't really want to spend any money.
I DO have a Cattaraugus blade in tobacco scales however... Swap O' rama?

    Whatsay?

The new blade looks bigger than the other but if you can shoe horn it in there it should be a nice set up.

Three cheers Mike!!! Is that the same bog oak? If so then you are the first to work on that massive chunk of Irish mummified oak!
I'm so excited to see the results. Absolutely beautiful. I'm curious to see the various finishes you do with that wood, if anybody brings out some great finishes with that bog oak it would be you.

Wow! That looks like a Vincent van Gogh painting, wild! Nice shape, goes with the scale color/pattern..

Well, the Cattaraugus is too big. Something I do without unpinning everything to see is to try and line-up the pin-holes like so. Blade would have hung out the bottom! A good thing as I always liked that one the way it is!

The Worcester blade is a good fit. Rides a bit high and a tad too long as it hits the wedge end, though.

Some judicious use of the holy hacksaw blade and some filing/sanding on the inside of the scales at the wedge end got a nice fit and the blade now rides lower in the scales.

While test-fitting, I noticed something about the 'T' in Tobacco on the blade.
    Is them???? Yep! Them's LEGS!

So, off to work on the blade. Anyone think I should shade some silver rubNbuff in the areas around the Indian?? Mebbe I should just leave it be..
I wonder what it looked like as it was new?

Thanks! That is pretty cool! I wondered what it would look like!

I would probably rub more of the silver off of the Indian so it would stand out more.
That might make the features stand-out better
