My wife looked at me confused and said "What was the point in polishing it up and getting all pretty if you were just going to make it look old and shitty again?" I was stunned.

I'm at work cleaning our shop and doing tool maintenance, and found a piece of plywood scrap that's much different than regular plywood. Very thin veneers in the middle with no knots inside and out. Cut the pieces into 2" squares, slapped some exterior grade wood glue on them and threw them in the vice. Should be a cool handle blank for a brush I'm thinking.

Cleaned up the Kayser Elliot, and removed the light sanding marks that were on the blade.

Talked with Paul, about what he was going to do with the scales that were on it, that I have a blade that would fit them, he said nothing..go ahead.!!
So a cleanup on the blade, a 6/8 Geneva Cutlery Corp. mind you, drill the scales for a third pin, (has the attached to one scale spacer) pinned with nickle silver rod, and polished brass washers.

I get a day off tomorrow, so I'll be doing some cutin and sandin, honing n such.

Finally a day to relax from the boat show stuff.!!

I may be wrong but from what I understand the scales were aftermarket and didn't fit so what difference would that make?

Just about done these brass lined creations.
Opting to try to make the wedge out of the same red urethane as I think it'll look cool sandwiched between the brass.
Hopefully not to soft. Might keep the wedge taper slight, just in case

That brass peaking around the corner has me wanting to see more pictures of this one! Standing by.
