What makes you guy think to work on the heal to make a smile? And second question, Why not a straight edge. Why a smile?
It's just Sharpening, right?

The toe is most awesome after the repairs. Were I to get a slight smile of it, I would look to that shoulderless heel to make it happen. Just me looking at the pics Martin provided.
The closest thing to a frown is a straight edge.
The best shaving razors have a smile.
Reprofiling a blade and not giving it at least a slight smile is improper, in my mind.
I am certain this is Martin's quest as well.
YMMV

Thanked: 4249It will be a slight smile, not the entire blade length but the heel and toe especially. And its not that hard to do really, here a great thread about it: http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...-me-smile.html
I use a diamond file to remove the chips and shape the blade, took 10 minutes tops.
