Thanks guys. They were made from the not good for carving bone, so at this point it is mostly a loss of time.

Very nice looking scales there. Sorry to hear about the one that didn't make it

Yup. Hard and dry and brittle. I did send some to a friend for a trip through a vacuum chamber with some light mineral oil in the hopes of making it more workable. Tomorrow I will be picking them up and checking the changes in quality. Fingers crossed.

There was a small amount of production in the hoarders corner today.
I finish making three sets of bone scales.
The set that I tried to pin sans washers did not make it.
I pinned up a set on a Friodur 17 and another set on my Guillermo Hoppe 14.
I was just wanting to get them back to work and will make other carved scales for them later, or perhaps just an onlay transfer. I will get back to. Carving when I go back to work.
    Hey Rez, maybe you know.
Who is son, who is father.

    I have a #14, Eugenio Hoppe.

    This ones dated early 1920s

The scales can always be used for shorties.

Eugeno was Guillermo's dad as I understand.

Oh not these ones. They are done, one side cracked length ways from the pin in both direction, then I snapped the other side retrieving the wedge, as luck would have it that is the side I glued.
As to the relationship between the Hoppe's I think we have to wait for Martin. All I know is it took me forever to find one and actually win the auction.
