    Production one repetitive work is way different that making one or two.
    Sometimes making a system for repeating the same thing over and over can be very simple, but not always :-)

    Finished up the aluminum scales.
    Sanded to 2500 grt., then hand polished with 3M metal restorer/polish.

    I wonder if you could do a CA finish on the aluminum scales to keep them from scratching, or something to surface harden them. They always look so darn nice when they are extra super shiny like those ones.

    Well, they are plate aluminum, so their s bit harder than typical soft aluminum.
    But I do have a product at work, that seals and helps protect aluminum. Its called "Shark Hide"

    Finally working on my bone scales. I'm not going to lie shaping that stuff by hand is not the most fun I have had lately. But I think its going to look good in the end.
    One of these days when I grow up I hope to be on Shauns level great work on those scales sir.
