Still blown away you are sending me one Mike, can't wait to pin up some sweet steel on it..
Will post a picture of what it's replacing for your amusement as well.

Tom, they are both kinda kami's but honed up like westerns. Don't seem to have the same soft backside as traditional kami's, so didn't do the 10/1 honing strokes. Will be fun to try em out though. The ones got some funky silver grey translucent scales on them that are unlike any in my collection.

All received in old tarnished condition, but cleaned up well.
They all went king 1k for bevel, to norton 4/8k, to belgian blue, to coti, to jnat to .25diamond on suede block. Popping leg hairs with ease.
    Quite pleased with the lot.
OMG That FM77... That is the razor Ive wanted for a long time! Oh man! They are all beauties! You lucky dog.
Now I know this is going a little far... but if you ever write a "Will"... I would not be offended if that was the razor you willed to me...

Yea I'm sorta regretting my decision. I had that ebony lying around and was itching to use it. Once it's all said and done I'm sure it'll be worth it, but this is a learning experience that's taxing my patience and nerves.

I know nothing about the brand Mike, was in a lot with a few others I liked. What can you tell me about it? And consider it willed..

I know how you feel. Many times Ive questioned the decision to remove scales or work around them. Wish I could remove them and put them back on with 100% success rate.

I had a girlfriend from Japan. Her dad had a case on the wall with several dozen Japanese blades most never been used. He was a business man (retired) and she said he owned interest in a distributor of Japanese razors for years before it went belly up. Back then SR were just a passing interest of mine and I thought nothing of it. A year ago in San Francisco I saw her sister and it turns out that they had moved back to Japan a few months before the Fukushima disaster. Their house was not destroyed but they moved anyway. I asked about the straight razors and she laughed and said that the "ridiculously large case with his precious straight razors was the first thing he loaded into the truck!" Thats awesome! Anyway that was one of the razors I for some reason remember. I know nothing of its origin. But I will search.

Leg hairs. Why didn't I think of that?

    Lovely razors Mike.

Although a pretty common razor, I'm a big fan of Henckels razors.
