Enjoy your new lease on life and take care of yourself! Flow Docs orders, take your Meds, improve your diet ( fast food only as an occasional treat ) and go for a nice long fall walk with the wife. I'm almost 10 years on and just had a stress test ( which sucks!! They push you hard ) and the staff was impressed with my stamina at 62 yo! Hang in there bro, this could be a new phase in life!

But it's for a good cause, fun to remind the wife I could look worse, hehe, and it seemed, the 'stache grew back in less 'frosty' when it did. So all things considered, I did it again this year. Without lacerations this time I might add!
It's cool you remember the Shumate vid as well, Thanks. That was that blades first shave ever and it rocked the whiskers. One of my fav's still!
Yeah my wife got mad when i shaved my chin this year (Her French tickler) [emoji6]
Told me she'd leave if I took the stache.
Did that once , before marriage.
Swore never again. Couldn't stand the feeling of it being gone, made me look like a geek too.

Hey my restoration gurus, a quick question. Just came across this Clauss in pretty nice condition but it has this weird, extremely hard black stuff on the blade edge? Tried acetone and mineral spirits and nothing even touches it?! Any ideas on what it might be and how to get it off?

Okay I searched around, could have done that before asking, but your suggestions helped.
So novelty cutlery co. I looked on the Bay, only a few being sold there so I'll need to keep looking because I'm not inclined to cut down perfectly good scales to get a blade for these scales.
Like I said, if anyone has a good novelty cutlery blade that needs scales.. you are welcome to a set. I've got other projects piling up to the point of insanity!

Just got a W&B celebrated FBU with broken toe for a shorty project, I couldn't pass it up as I've always wanted a big chopper shorty!

Projects start back up this coming week!

Need better pics. Is that bevel that wide? Are you using phone to take pics. If so turn your phone 1/4 TURN to the left then take photo, then back to upright position before submitting photo to forum.
    That works for me.

Might try cutting it off with a razor blade (utility type).

Oh WOW, it looks like a super wide bevel!!! I know I'm crazy but I guess I'm going crazier.........................
Beautiful scales but if that is on the bay, I would be very cautious about that bevel.

That looks like a home ground bevel, to me. Might be the pic though. Is that devils spit lines? Corrosion, basically?
